In this post I shall discuss some facts about almanacs/takweem. In these modern times, almanacs are sold in the astrological market. Handy charts created according to astrological rules are easily available in the markets these days. All you have to do is to buy one.
Due to copyright issues I have uploaded an old almanac/jantri for the perusal of the readers. In order to know the current planetary positions a new jantri should be bought.
This is an Imamiya jantri.
The part where January is written- is the English date
The part where Poh is written that is according to the Hindi bakarmi calendar
Where Shamsi is written that is according to the Arabic calendar.
Where Qamar fil burj is written that is the part where the entrance of Moon is mentioned in each constellation.
Where Qamar fil manazil is written that part mentions the lunar mansions.
Where it is written seyargan fil burj that part mentions the time when each planet enters the 10 constellations
NOTE: this jantri is according to the Pakistan standard time. The timings need to be set according to the standard time of one’s own country. This Imamiya jantri is of the year 2009. In order to check the current planetary positions you may have to purchase the latest almanac/jantri
